Isaiah
Isaiah son of Amoz was a major prophet of Judah who ministered during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah. He proclaimed God’s judgment and salvation and spoke extensively of the coming Messiah.
Biblical Usage
Isaiah was called to prophetic ministry in the year King Uzziah died. He encouraged Hezekiah and Judah to depend on Yahweh rather than Assyria and proclaimed messages concerning judgment, restoration, and the coming Messiah.
