Patmos
Patmos was a small, rugged island in the Aegean Sea. John was there for his testimony concerning Christ when he received the visions recorded in Revelation.
Biblical Usage
Patmos is mentioned once in Scripture. John states that he was on the island because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus, and there he received the revelation recorded in the book of Revelation.
