PATTERN
A pattern is a model, design, copy, or guiding conception for something to be made. In Scripture it may refer to the divinely given design of the tabernacle or temple, or to a moral example to follow.
Biblical Usage
In the Old Testament, Moses received directions for the tabernacle, and David gave Solomon the pattern or conception of the temple. In the New Testament, pattern may mean an example, outline, copy, or counterpart, including a moral example to follow and earthly representations of heavenly things.
