The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
The crucifixion of Jesus, though brutal beyond our comprehension, was a beautiful sacrifice that represents the life we get to live with Him every day. His crucifixion was a gift to the world, a gift to every one of us. The pain He bore, the punishment He experienced, though He did not deserve it, was taken on our behalf. He endured the pain of the Cross in order to draw all men unto Himself. When we sing about the Blood of Jesus, this is what we are singing about. Our God, who willingly shed His Blood on the Cross so that we could have life, and life to the full (John 10:10). What a beautiful reason to thank Him every day. Today, letâs reflect on that truth and thank Him for the beautiful sacrifice. Letâs pray.
Thank You, Lord, for the punishment that You experienced on the Cross with me in mind. You bore the death that I should have so that I could have life with You. Help me remember Your sacrifice and the power of Your Blood that You shed on the Cross. Your power is available to heal me, forgive me, and restore me! Thank you, Jesus!
