
David and Goliath
The Philistine giant Goliath challenged Israel, but the young shepherd David defeated him with a sling and a stone, showing that victory comes from God and not human strength (1 Samuel 17:45-50).
Saul Becomes King
The Israelites asked for a king so they could be like other nations, and God instructed Samuel to anoint Saul as the first king of Israel (1 Samuel 9:15-17). Saul was chosen to lead Israel but was told to obey God's commands.
Samuel Called by God
As a young boy serving in the tabernacle, Samuel heard God calling his name during the night and responded, "Speak, for your servant is listening" (1 Samuel 3:10). This event marked the beginning of Samuel's role as a prophet in Israel.
