Abraham and Isaac

God tested Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac, but at the last moment God provided a ram instead (Genesis 22:1-13). Abraham's obedience demonstrated his faith in God (Genesis 22:12). God then reaffirmed His covenant promises to Abraham (Genesis 22:16-18).

Abraham Called by God

God called Abram to leave his homeland and travel to a land that God would show him, promising to make him into a great nation and bless all nations through him (Genesis 12:1-3). Abram obeyed and traveled to Canaan by faith (Genesis 12:4-7). This event begins the story of God's covenant with Abraham.

Tower of Babel

After the flood, people spoke one language and settled in the land of Shinar, where they decided to build a city and a tower reaching to the heavens (Genesis 11:1-4). God confused their language and scattered them across the earth, and the place was called Babel (Genesis 11:7-9).
