Marriage in Ancient Israel
The marriage of Joseph and Mary
The Fall of Man
In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve lived in perfect fellowship with God, but were given one command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 2:16-17). When tempted by the serpent, they disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit (Genesis 3:6), bringing sin and separation into the world. This event marks the beginning of humanity's fallen condition and the need for redemption (Genesis 3:23).
Creation
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them by His word (Genesis 1:1). Over six days, God formed light, sky, land, plants, stars, animals, and finally mankind in His own image (Genesis 1:26-27). God saw all that He had made, and it was very good, establishing the foundation of all life and creation (Genesis 1:31).
